The Monmouth County Audubon Society, Red Bank, is offering the free “Audubon Adventures” kit to fifth-grade classroom teachers for the 2006-07 school year, with enrollment deadline June 15.
This program is an environmental curriculum supplement that has connected children nationwide to the natural world. The kit delivered in October consists of a teacher’s guide and four issues (32 copies of each issue) of an informative newspaper for children to take home. The program can be easily adapted to a wide variety of curricula. Teachers will also receive information on the Great Backyard Bird Count, and teachers who are not members of Aubudon will get a free annual membership. Call (732) 870-6224 or e-mail [email protected].
